Brian Daly, MD

Brian Daly, MD, is the CoE Co-Director and Co-Director of the Implementation & Translation Division. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UMass Chan and Chief Medical Officer at Community Healthlink. Dr. Daly is a Board Certified general and forensic psychiatrist with extensive experience in mental health and psychiatry. Dr. Daly has significant expertise in the establishment and delivery of substance use treatment, including overseeing the resident’s opioid treatment clinic, co-creating the substance use treatment program at Oregon State Hospital, creating substance use consultation programs at The Southwest Centre for Forensic Psychiatry in St. Thomas, Ontario (Canada) and at New Hampshire Hospital in Concord, NH. He was also an Expert Advisor to Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo’s Overdose Prevention and Intervention Task Force, which was a position that required gubernatorial appointment. Dr. Daly has extensive experience in forensic psychiatry, including as a leader at the State systems level.
